Rafael V. Meneses Public Library receives 600,000 peso investment
The Rafael V. Meneses Public Library in Hermosillo, Sonora, has received an investment of over 600,000 pesos for equipment and facility improvements. Municipal President Antonio Astiazarán and Patricia Ruibal, President of DIF Hermosillo, inspected the renovated spaces designed to promote reading, learning, and community interaction.
Key upgrades include a renovated Children's Toy Library (Ludoteca Infantil) featuring a mural by visual artist Gabriel Molinares, the Collection Room (Sala de Acervos), and the Laura Delia Quintero Room. The Collection Room preserves historical documentary heritage, including books from former governors Ignacio Soto and Carlos Armando Biebrich.
Additional investments are planned for flooring and air conditioning units to further improve the public space.
