Rafaela Autodrome Reopens with Upgraded Facilities for Turismo Carretera

Governor Maximiliano Pullaró inaugurated the newly upgraded Autódromo Ciudad de Rafaela on Saturday, marking the return of the premier Turismo Carretera racing series after several years. The renovation, a joint effort by the Santa Fe provincial government, the Rafaela municipality, the local football club and private partners, added 8,000 sqm of concrete in the pit lane, repaved the main circuit, installed new drainage and electrical systems, built a 15,000‑sqm leca catch‑fence and a 150‑sqm emergency medical room capable of receiving two ambulances simultaneously.

Pullaró said, “We want each peso the Government puts to generate jobs, work and economic growth.” The improvements are intended to boost sports tourism, create local employment and allow the venue to host other events such as industrial expos and concerts. Investment in the works exceeded 2 billion Argentine pesos.
