Rafaelle Carrier places fifth at Mountain Bike World Championships

Rafaelle Carrier secured a fifth-place finish in the women’s under-23 Olympic cross-country mountain bike event at the World Championships in Val di Sole, Italy. Completing the race in 1 hour, 23 minutes, and 8 seconds, Carrier was the highest-ranking first-year athlete in the competition, finishing approximately three minutes behind winner Valentina Corvi.

In the men’s event, Canadian Mika Comaniuk finished in 14th place. Comaniuk noted that Carrier’s performance served as an inspiration following his own challenges during the race.
