Griggi, who has worked within the program's editorial staff for over ten years, succeeds Federica Sciarelli, who hosted the series for 22 years.

The new season is scheduled to debut on September 23. In the promotional footage, Griggi emphasizes the human impact of the program's mission, stating, “Behind every disappearance there is a life that suffers, a life that counts.”

While the choice of an internal staff member aims to ensure stylistic continuity, initial public reaction has shown some skepticism. Much of the social media criticism has been directed not at Griggi herself, but at the reported inclusion of criminologist Roberta Bruzzone as a regular guest on the program.
