Raffi Ahmad backs free services at Masjid Istiqlal and plans Indonesian Hajj village in Mecca

Indonesian entertainer Raffi Ahmad took part in the Ministry of Religious Affairs' "Jumat Berkah" program at Jakarta's Masjid Istiqlal, which offers 35 free facilities such as lunch meals, foreign‑language courses, a gym centre, lodging, ambulance services and religious counseling. Ahmad said he and his team will continue supporting the initiative to benefit worshippers and the wider community.

In a separate project, Ahmad visited a 4.4‑hectare plot in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, earmarked for the "Kampung Haji Indonesia" – a planned integrated Hajj village for Indonesian pilgrims. The land acquisition marks the first time Indonesia has received a special permit and ownership rights from the Saudi government. The development, overseen by Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani and backed by President Prabowo Subianto, will include thirteen towers with accommodation, health services, dining and logistics facilities, aiming to improve the experience of Indonesian pilgrims in the holy city.
