Raffi Ahmad Denies Involvement in Blueray Cargo Smuggling Case
Raffi Ahmad held a press conference with lawyer Hotman Paris Hutapea to reject any role in the alleged illegal smuggling of electronic goods through the Blueray Cargo network. He presented a witness, Vina, who said the widely circulated photo of Raffi in front of a Blueray store in New York was merely documentation and that "Raffi never entered the store or made any transaction." Vina added that Blueray had offered free products to Raffi, which he declined, stating, "I said, 'No need, I don’t want it for free.'"
Raffi also explained that his only interaction was a brief photo session with Blueray staff during a trip to New York, after which there was no further communication or shipment of goods to him. He emphasized that no items were sent to his address and that the case, currently before a Lampung court, remains unlinked to him. Earlier, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) had named Raffi as a potential participant in a bribery investigation involving Blueray Cargo, a claim he has consistently denied.
