Rafik Belghali linked to Sassuolo amid transfer interest

Algerian international defender Rafik Belghali is a primary target in the summer transfer market following a strong season with Hellas Verona. Sassuolo has emerged as a leading contender to sign the 24-year-old right-back, with negotiations reportedly focusing on a transfer fee between 7 and 8 million euros. To facilitate the deal, Sassuolo is considering including midfielder Edoardo Iannoni as part of the transaction.

While Olympiakos has expressed significant interest in strengthening their defense with Belghali, and Olympique de Marseille has also pursued the player, Hellas Verona has reportedly rejected Marseille's proposal of a loan with an option to buy. The Italian club prefers a permanent sale, which places Sassuolo in a stronger negotiating position to secure the player's services and allow him to remain in Serie A.
