Rafina-Pikermi hosts sensory play workshop for childcare educators

The Municipality of Rafina-Pikermi implemented an educational workshop titled ‘Messy Play: Sensory Play’ on September 1, 2026, for educators of local infant and childcare centers. Conducted through the ‘Community Center’ program, the workshop aimed to introduce modern pedagogical methods that encourage free exploration, sensory development, and psycho-emotional expression in children.

The seminar was designed and organized by psychologist Eleni Nikolaidi and social worker Konstantina Antonopoulou. Local officials, including Deputy Mayor of Social Welfare Konstantina Makri and Deputy Mayor of Education Katerina Lygkou, emphasized that continuous training is essential for upgrading the quality of preschool education and creating safe, modern learning environments that support holistic child development.
