Rafiu Durosinmi signs for Genk in €10.5 million record deal
Nigerian international striker Rafiu Durosinmi has completed a transfer from relegated Serie A side Pisa to Belgian club Genk for an estimated €10.5 million plus performance‑related bonuses. The agreement includes a 10 % sell‑on clause, making it the most lucrative sale in Pisa’s history and Genk’s biggest signing, surpassing their previous €7 million record for Theo Bongonda.
Durosinmi, who joined Pisa from Czech club Viktoria Plzeň only six months ago, recorded one goal and one assist in 12 appearances in Italy. The move gives Pisa a substantial financial boost while retaining a stake in any future transfer. Genk view the 23‑year‑old as a powerful centre‑forward who can follow the path of earlier Nigerian forwards such as Paul Onuachu and Tolu Arokodare, and the transfer is expected to enhance his prospects with the Super Eagles national team.
