Giarratana celebrates the feast of San Giuseppe

The town of Giarratana is celebrating the feast of San Giuseppe with a series of traditional events. The festivities include the ‘Sciuta’, a central ritual where the religious simulacrum is carried from the Mother Church through the streets of the historic center.

The program features symphonic marches by the local band, solemn Eucharistic celebrations presided over by the Bishop of Ragusa, Monsignor Giuseppe La Placa, and a community dinner. The celebrations conclude with an evening procession and a fireworks display.
