Ragusa City Council approves Ibla multi-story parking project

The Ragusa City Council has approved the declaration of public utility and the economic-financial plan for a new multi-story parking facility in Ibla. This decision allows the project to move toward the bidding phase for construction and management through a public-private partnership.

Located in the via Peschiera area near Discesa San Leonardo, the underground structure will feature four levels. It is designed to provide approximately 400 car parking spaces and 30 motorcycle spaces. The project includes a surface plaza, pedestrian connections, and mechanized access systems such as elevators to link the facility directly to the historic baroque center.

Modern features will be integrated into the design, including electric vehicle charging stations, video surveillance, and smart technologies for traffic flow management. The project is being promoted by a temporary grouping of companies (RTI) consisting of C. G. Costruzioni Srl and CAEC Soc. Coop. The development follows a decade of planning and regulatory updates.
