Ragusa court issues restraining orders against three men for domestic abuse

A judge in Ragusa, Italy, has imposed three precautionary restraining orders after victims filed complaints of harassment and violence.

The first order targets a 19‑year‑old of Tunisian origin who repeatedly threatened and insulted a schoolmate in Marina di Ragusa, causing anxiety and fear. The second concerns a 66‑year‑old from Pozzallo who stalked and verbally and physically abused his former partner for months, leading to an electronic monitoring device being attached to enforce the ban. The third order applies to a 31‑year‑old from Ragusa who repeatedly assaulted his parents, forcing them to temporarily move to relatives’ homes.

Carabinieri from the stations in Ragusa, Marina di Ragusa and Pozzallo executed the measures, and a separate violation by a 35‑year‑old was intercepted near his ex‑partner’s residence.
