Nigerian singer Raheem Okoya, professionally known as Sir Raheem, has announced his decision to make a “professional exit” from the music industry. The 23-year-old artist shared the news via an Instagram post on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Okoya, the son of billionaire industrialist Razaq Okoya, explained that his growing professional responsibilities have made it difficult to maintain the level of dedication and time required for a music career. He stated that he no longer feels he can provide the effort and patience the craft deserves.

Despite stepping away from active music releases, Okoya indicated that he is not abandoning creativity. He expressed interest in exploring other creative fields and business ventures. He also noted that he possesses unreleased material, including an album he considers some of his best work, which may eventually be shared with the public.
