Raheem Sterling charged with dangerous driving after Lamborghini crash
Former England footballer Raheem Sterling has been formally charged following a single-vehicle crash involving his Lamborghini Urus on the M3 motorway in Hampshire. The incident occurred on May 28 near the Minley interchange, where the vehicle reportedly swerved before striking the central barriers. No other vehicles were involved, and no injuries were reported.
Sterling, 31, faces three specific charges: dangerous driving, possession of nitrous oxide for wrongful inhalation, and failing to provide a specimen. A conviction for dangerous driving carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison.
The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary confirmed the charges, noting that Sterling is scheduled to appear at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on September 15. The legal proceedings come during a period of professional uncertainty for the winger, who is currently without a club following a recent stint with Feyenoord.
