Guyana Amazon Warriors defeat Jamaica Kingsmen by eight wickets

The Guyana Amazon Warriors maintained a perfect record in the 2026 Caribbean Premier League, securing their fifth consecutive win with an eight-wicket victory over the Jamaica Kingsmen at Providence Stadium.

After electing to field, the Warriors' bowling attack, led by Dwaine Pretorius and Khary Pierre—who claimed two wickets each—restricted the Kingsmen to 159 for seven. Hassan Khan provided a late resurgence for Jamaica with an unbeaten 62 off 29 balls, but it was insufficient to defend the total.

The Warriors' chase was anchored by Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who scored 54 from 35 balls, and Mavendra Dindyal, who contributed 33 from 17. Captain Shai Hope (39*) and Shimron Hetmyer (30*) remained unbeaten to complete the target with 16 balls to spare. The win moves the Warriors to 10 points, placing them second in the standings behind the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.
