Rahul Gandhi addresses paper‑leak crisis in Dehradun

Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi visited Dehradun, Uttarakhand, to meet students and discuss the widespread paper‑leak problem in government recruitment examinations. He described the leaks as a "rate card" organised by a hidden network and called for greater transparency, strict action against perpetrators and increased student participation in the exam process.

Students voiced personal hardships, including the case of Manoj Kumar, who recounted years of struggle after a leaked exam paper denied him a job and led to a false legal case. Despite heavy rain, a large crowd gathered, demanding systemic reforms and compensation from the state government.

Gandhi’s remarks intensified calls for an overhaul of the examination system, urging the government to ensure fairness for the millions of youth preparing for competitive exams.
