Rahul Gandhi backs Jharkhand student protests over JPSC paper leak

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi expressed concern for students who have been protesting on Jharkhand streets for 14 days after a JPSC exam paper leak. His intervention prompted JD(U) MLA Neeraj Kumar to question why Gandhi had remained silent earlier, urging the government to engage in dialogue and strengthen the examination system. Kumar said, "Democracy values dialogue; both the protestors and the government must be flexible to address the issue."

Socialist Party MP Ramashankar Rajbhar praised Gandhi’s outreach, calling it essential for democracy. Rajbhar noted that a planned meeting with students in Allahabad was first cancelled, then reinstated, and urged a swift resolution to avoid further unrest. The protests continue with no official talks reported, highlighting tensions over exam integrity and student grievances in Jharkhand.
