Rahul Gandhi criticizes Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has intensified his criticism of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the central government during a press conference. Gandhi claimed that approximately 200 government officials are in contact with him and providing information.
Addressing Gyanesh Kumar directly, Gandhi suggested that the Commissioner should resign, stating, “You are not a criminal, but things are being done through you.” He further alleged that the government is attempting to protect Kumar and criticized the heavy police deployment in Delhi, describing the city as being “turned into a fortress” to prevent people from reaching protests.
Gandhi also claimed that Kumar has attempted to communicate with him via messages. Amidst these tensions, members of the INDIA bloc planned to file a petition with the Supreme Court regarding the ongoing political situation and the restrictions placed on movement within the capital.
