Rahul Gandhi criticizes Indian education system and advocates for social reform
Indian Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, has criticized the national education system, stating it is failing the generation it was intended to support. Citing issues such as paper leaks, high fees, and decaying infrastructure, Gandhi called on students, parents, and teachers to share their experiences via an online platform to help reform the system.
This critique comes ahead of the fifth edition of his ‘Chhatron ki Goonj’ initiative, scheduled for September 19 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Previous events in cities like Pune, Kota, Dehradun, and Prayagraj have focused on gathering student feedback.
In a separate context regarding social issues, Gandhi has recently advocated for women to “smash the patriarchy” and fight for their space in society. However, critics have pointed to a perceived gap between this rhetoric and his response to controversies involving women within his political ecosystem and allied parties.
