Rahul Gandhi hosts INDIA bloc leaders to coordinate protests over alleged poll irregularities

Rahul Gandhi hosted a high-tea meeting at his New Delhi residence for leaders of the INDIA bloc, student organizations, and civil society members to coordinate a strategy against alleged electoral irregularities. The opposition is demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, alleging 'vote theft' and issues regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

Opposition leaders have filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the SIR process. During the meeting, participants discussed maintaining a sustained political resistance and planning a mega rally at Delhi’s Ramlila grounds on November 1. Gandhi emphasized that all ongoing protests are part of a single movement to protect democracy.

Additionally, Gandhi addressed students who were allegedly injured or mistreated by police during recent demonstrations. He urged protesters to preserve video evidence of police conduct to ensure accountability for those responsible.
