Rahul Gandhi joins students alleging Delhi Police misconduct

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference in New Delhi alongside students who were protesting against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The students and activists alleged physical assault and mistreatment by the Delhi Police during their detention.

Specific allegations included a student claiming she lost hearing in one ear due to a police beating, and another alleging physical violence against her private parts. Students also described being beaten by groups of officers while being transported from the Parliament police station to Delhi Cantt.

Rahul Gandhi stated that he intends to seek accountability for those involved, ranging from high-ranking officials like the Prime Minister and Home Minister to individual police officers. He urged protesters to record videos and preserve evidence to ensure that those responsible for the alleged misconduct face legal consequences.
