Rahul Gandhi labels India's education system an ‘exclusion system’

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has criticized India's current education framework, labeling it an ‘exclusion system’ rather than an educational one. Speaking during his ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ initiative, Gandhi argued that the system is designed to marginalize millions of Indian youth based on wealth, influence, or English language proficiency.

Gandhi’s remarks were shared via an Instagram video documenting his interactions with students. This event marks the sixth edition of his ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ program, which has recently held sessions in cities including Chennai, Kota, Dehradun, Prayagraj, Pune, and Indore. During his recent engagement in Chennai, Gandhi also directed sharp criticism toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
