Rahul Gandhi launches 'Satyagraha' platform and alleges police misconduct

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has launched 'Satyagraha,' a digital platform designed to consolidate and amplify various social and political protest movements across India. The initiative uses an interactive map to allow citizens—including students, farmers, and marginalized groups—to share their stories of injustice and connect with similar movements. Within nine hours of its launch, the platform reportedly received over 10,000 submissions.

Parallel to the platform launch, Gandhi has raised serious allegations regarding the conduct of Delhi Police during a protest at Jantar Mantar. He accused the force of misconduct toward women protesters and journalists, including claims of manhandling and sexual harassment. Gandhi directly challenged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to respond to these allegations, noting that the Delhi Police operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The All India Students' Association (AISA) corroborated claims of misconduct, while Delhi Police stated that complaints regarding the incidents have been transferred to the Crime Branch for investigation.
