Rahul Gandhi predicts fall of central government within 10 months

During an interaction with young Congress party workers in New Delhi, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi predicted that the central government would fall within ten months. Addressing members of the Seva Dal, Youth Congress, and NSUI, Gandhi stated that the youth of India have risen against the Modi administration and urged party members to remain unafraid of the political environment.

Gandhi commented on former party members who defected to the BJP, suggesting they left due to greed or fear of central investigative agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He remarked that only “lions” remain in the Congress, while those who left believed the party would never return to power.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge responded to these comments by noting that the defectors were once Gandhi’s friends. In response, Gandhi discussed the complexities of political loyalty, citing an anecdote about his grandmother, Indira Gandhi, to illustrate that personal relationships in politics are often complicated and not always mutual.
