Rahul Gandhi supports Maharashtra students protesting MPSC paper leak
Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has expressed support for students protesting in Maharashtra over alleged irregularities in the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examinations. Gandhi criticized the BJP-led governments at both the state and central levels, stating that the system has shattered student trust through paper leaks, stalled recruitments, and high education costs.
The protests follow an investigation by the Mumbai Police into an alleged leak of the question paper for the MPSC Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Inspector examination. The screening exam for these Drug Inspector posts was conducted offline on March 22. Following complaints regarding malpractice, the MPSC has cancelled the recruitment process for the Food and Drug Administration Department's Drug Inspector Group-B posts.
