Rahul Gandhi to visit Tamil Nadu in October for student outreach

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Tamil Nadu during the first week of October to participate in the ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ initiative. The program is designed to facilitate direct interaction between college students and Gandhi, allowing them to raise issues affecting their lives.

Tamil Nadu Congress president Manickam Tagore chaired a planning meeting at the party’s Sathyamurthy Bhavan headquarters in Chennai to discuss the framework for the visit. While the timing has been set for early October, specific details regarding the exact date, venue, and participating colleges have not yet been finalized.

The outreach effort is part of a broader pan-India strategy to engage with young voters as the Congress party begins preparations for the 2029 Lok Sabha elections. Party leaders are currently working on logistics, including student selection processes and the format of the discussions.
