Rahul Gandhi urges Madhya Pradesh CM to increase teacher recruitment

Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, has written a letter to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav regarding teacher recruitment vacancies in the state. Gandhi highlighted that over 100,000 teacher positions are currently vacant in government schools, which he stated is directly impacting the education of children in the region.

In the Teacher Recruitment 2025 process, the government announced 13,089 positions for Class-3 and 10,800 for Class-2. Gandhi urged the Chief Minister to increase these numbers to provide permanent employment to thousands of youths and improve educational standards. He noted that many candidates who scored well in exams are currently working as guest teachers but remain without permanent roles, with some approaching the age limit for eligibility.

Additionally, Gandhi called for the immediate withdrawal of notices issued to candidates participating in protests and hunger strikes. He requested that the government engage with representatives of the candidates and promptly initiate the second round of counseling and promotion processes for Class-2 and Class-3 recruitment.
