Rahul Rafi to represent India at BRICS Skate Cup in Russia

Rahul Rafi, a 25-year-old skateboarder from Kovalam, will represent India at the BRICS Skate Cup in Ryazan, Russia. The international festival of street culture and action sports is expected to host over 500 athletes from approximately 30 countries, featuring skateboarding, roller sports, and scootering.

Rafi, who began training at the Sebastian India School Project (SiSP) in 2014, also works as a professional skatepark builder. He has been involved in roughly 75 per cent of the projects completed by 100 Ramps Skate Park Construction in India. He describes skateboarding as a lifestyle rather than just a sport, noting that he often spends his working life building the concrete facilities he uses for training.
