Rai 1 to broadcast maritime programs on Sardinia and Puglia

Rai 1 will broadcast two maritime-themed programs on Saturday, August 22, 2026, focusing on different Italian coastal regions.

“Linea Blu – Porti d’Italia,” hosted by Donatella Bianchi and Livio Beshir, will feature Olbia, Sardinia. The episode explores the Costa Smeralda, the port of Olbia, and the protected areas of the La Maddalena Archipelago, including the uninhabited island of Mortorio. The program highlights the balance between nautical innovation, economic activity, and environmental conservation.

“Azzurro. Storie di mare,” a collaboration with UNPLI, will focus on Puglia and the Salento region. Hosted by Beppe Convertini, the episode travels from Santa Cesarea Terme to Castro and the Grotta della Zinzulusa. The broadcast aims to showcase local traditions and the work of UNPLI Pro Loco in promoting Italian territorial identity.
