Rai 1 to premiere ‘Una finestra vista lago’ series

The new television series ‘Una finestra vista lago’ is scheduled to premiere on Rai 1 and RaiPlay starting Tuesday, November 17. Directed by Marco Pontecorvo, the eight-episode production is based on the popular novels by Andrea Vitali.

Set in the 1930s in the fictional town of Bellamo—a literary representation of Bellano on Lake Como—the story follows Ernesto Maccadò, a young Carabinieri marshal from Calabria. Upon arriving for his first assignment as station commander, Maccadò and his wife Maristella must navigate local prejudices and the complexities of a reserved community.

The series blends mystery and comedy of manners, weaving together elements from several of Vitali’s books. The plot explores the town's microcosm through surreal situations and various characters, including Brigadier Letterio Misfatti, who assists Maccadò in his integration into the local society.
