Rai Fiction Director Maria Pia Ammirati Announces Youth‑Focused TV Lineup

Maria Pia Ammirati, director of Rai Fiction, said the channel has reclaimed a strong youth audience, with 30% of viewers now aged 8‑12 and an average of 3.5 million viewers (20.7% share) for the September 2025‑June 2026 period. She credited the series Mare Fuori for re‑engaging young people and outlined plans to expand the slate with new titles such as Un professore, Nudes, Mental and the upcoming Tutto l’amore che resta. Ammirati stressed the need for a diversified offering, noting that Rai will not focus solely on romance but will blend drama, romance and socially relevant themes. New projects include Una finestra vista lagotratto, based on Vitali’s novels and set in the 1930s, and the anticipated Doc 4, which will tackle health‑care cuts and medical‑killer storylines. She also hinted that actor Luca Argentero may depart the long‑running series Doc.
