Rai Fiction presents ‘Memoriae’ at the Rome Film Festival

The new television series ‘Memoriae’ was presented at the 21st edition of the Festa del Cinema di Roma within the Freestyle section. Produced by Rai Fiction and Minerva, the series is directed by Cosimo Alemà and Isabella Aguilar.

The thriller-mystery follows the residents of a small town called Vallata who experience a mysterious amnesia, losing six years of their lives, including identities, relationships, and significant life events. The plot is set in motion by a landslide that leads to the town's isolation. The story follows Matteo, a war reporter played by Dario Aita, and Alma, an oncologist played by Gaia Messerklinger, as they attempt to uncover the truth behind the collective memory loss and the blurring lines between reality and imagination.

Producers Leonardo Ferrara and Gianluca Curti described the project as an ambitious ‘diamond’ that has been in development for five years, noting the strong editorial appeal of its themes regarding the human mind and historical memory.
