Rai Libri presents new publications exploring Italian cultural identity

Rai Libri is releasing two new books focused on the cultural and social landscape of Italy.

Edoardo Sylos Labini will present “Le città identitarie” in Catania on October 31. The book explores twenty different Italian regions, highlighting lesser-known locations and figures that contribute to the nation's cultural identity. The narrative includes stops in Lucca, Trieste, and Rovereto, as well as Catania, which is represented through the legacies of Giovanni Verga and Vincenzo Bellini.

Additionally, Emilio Casalini’s “L’Italia più bella” will be available in bookstores and digital stores starting October 28. This work focuses on urban and social regeneration in various Italian towns and neighborhoods. Casalini highlights locations transformed by innovative ideas, such as the long Tibetan bridge in Castelsaraceno, the mural-covered streets of Aielli, and the Andromeda Theater in Sicily, showcasing how visionary individuals have turned local heritage into destinations for conscious tourism.
