Rai unveils 2026‑27 TV schedule with new daytime shows and two fresh channels

Rai presented its 2026‑27 programming slate on 3 July in Ancona, confirming many long‑running daytime titles such as Unomattina, È sempre Mezzogiorno!, La Volta Buona, L’Eredità and Domenica In, with Mara Venier returning as its host. New host Salvo Sottile will take over Ore 14 on Rai 2, while the long‑running Citofonare Rai 2 and Top are being dropped. Two thematic channels are slated for launch: V/BE for pre‑adolescents and Italian for international Rai content. The lineup also includes the return of popular programmes like Belve and its spin‑off Belve Crime, as well as a substantial fiction schedule featuring new seasons of Doc – Nelle tue mani, Libera, I casi di Teresa Battaglia, La famiglia Panini, 177 Giorni – Il rapimento di Farouk, Livatino – Il giudice e i suoi assassini and the new crime series Estranei. Several high‑profile presenters, including Francesca Fagnani, were absent from the press event, prompting speculation about internal disagreements. Overall, the schedule aims to balance continuity with fresh formats to attract broader audiences.
