Raian H., wanted for Brussels shootings, arrested in France
Raian H., a criminal wanted on both the Belgium’s Most Wanted and EU Most Wanted lists, has been arrested in Tourcoing, France. The arrest follows an intensive international investigation led by the Brussels Prosecutor's Office and facilitated by the ENFAST network.
H. had been a fugitive since December 2025 and is linked to several serious violent crimes and shootings in Brussels. Specifically, he was involved in a major shooting incident in March 2024 at Sint-Antoniusplein in Vorst, where approximately one hundred shots were fired, including the use of Uzi machine guns. That incident left three people injured, one of whom was in critical condition.
Although previously sentenced to fourteen years in prison for his role in the Vorst shooting, H. failed to appear at his trial. The Belgian Federal Police stated that his arrest serves as a clear signal that perpetrators of serious violence will be tracked down and brought to justice, even when they flee abroad.
