Wacken Open Air 2026 sold out as fans scramble for tickets and travel options
The 35th edition of Wacken Open Air will run from 29 July to 1 August 2026 in the village of Wacken, Schleswig‑Holstein. All 85 000 tickets were declared sold out on 21 July, but fans can still obtain passes through resale platforms, the official ticket market, and travel‑package deals offered by Rockbus UG, which bundles tickets with bus transport from several German and neighboring cities.
Headliners include Judas Priest, Sabaton, Def Leppard and Powerwolf, supported by a full program across the main stages and auxiliary areas such as Welcome To The Jungle, Wasteland and Wackinger Village. Organisers confirmed there will be no cash‑based gambling on site; only a casino stand will be present.
Rail travel to the festival is disrupted until the end of August due to construction work, affecting regional and S‑bahn services and requiring passengers to use replacement buses and transfers via Pinneberg. Beer will cost €6.90 per glass, and camping facilities are available for ticket‑holders.
