Railway and State Reserve tank drivers conduct joint training in Milovice

Drivers of recovery tanks from the Railway Administration Fire and Rescue Service (HZS SŽ) and the Administration of State Material Reserves (SSHR) conducted joint training exercises at a former military site in Milovice. The training focused on maintaining professional competence and operating heavy tracked machinery under difficult conditions.

Participants practiced maneuvering in challenging terrain, obstacle navigation, and the use of specialized equipment such as cranes, winches, and plows. The exercise also included the integration of modern technologies, including drones and mobile satellite communications. The training involved approximately twenty experienced personnel undergoing annual recertification, alongside four trainees preparing for their roles under the supervision of instructors from the Military Academy Vyškov.

The HZS SŽ currently operates four VT-72B recovery tanks stationed in Prague, Havlíčkovův Brod, Přerov, and České Budějovice, while the SSHR utilized VT-55 tanks during the drills. The event was attended by Minister of Transport Ivan Bednárik and the Chairman of the Administration of State Material Reserves, Pavel Švagr.
