Global transport infrastructure and security updates

Various regional infrastructure and transport developments are underway across several countries.

In Spain, the government has announced that the new intermodal station and railway integration in Almería are expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026. Direct conventional and Alvia trains between Granada and Almería are projected to resume by summer 2027, though a specific date for the arrival of high-speed AVE service remains unconfirmed. Additionally, Alicante's new General Structural Plan proposes a new Northern commuter station and the restoration of the Tram connection to Elche. In Guadalajara, Adif has awarded a contract to install over 5,000 meters of railway fencing to improve safety.
