Railway Protection Force recovers Rs 6.10 lakh in valuables in Bengal
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) successfully recovered valuables worth approximately Rs 6.10 lakh for a female commuter in West Bengal. The passenger, Parvina Khatun, accidentally left her handbag near a train door while deboarding at Agradwip station on a Katwa–Bandel local train.
Following an emergency report submitted via the Rail Madad portal, RPF personnel from the Nabadwip Dham post conducted a rapid retrieval operation. The recovered bag contained gold ornaments, including earrings, rings, nose rings, a chain, and bangles, as well as cash and important personal documents. The items were returned to the owner at the station under official supervision and video recording to ensure transparency.
