Railway services disrupted in French Riviera due to works and track obstacles
Railway services in the French Riviera region are facing significant disruptions due to ongoing infrastructure modernization and localized track issues.
In the sector connecting Nice, Monaco, and Menton, service at Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and Carnolès stations has been modified due to works. While all stops are maintained in the Menton–Monaco–Nice direction, only select trains will serve these two stations in the Nice–Monaco–Menton direction. This reduced service is expected to continue through October 2026.
Separately, train traffic between Grasse and Cannes has been heavily impacted. Following weekend disruptions caused by network modernization, service was further delayed on Monday morning due to an obstacle found on the tracks at the La Frayère station in Cannes. Travelers are advised to check real-time schedules via SNCF Connect or local transport authorities.
