Railway services face cancellations and disruptions due to construction

Multiple railway disruptions are affecting commuters due to scheduled maintenance and construction work.

In India, several trains running between Kanpur Central and Delhi, including routes to New Delhi and Anand Vihar Terminal, have been cancelled between August 28 and September 4. Specific cancellations include train numbers 02457, 02458, 02455, and 02456 on various dates throughout this period. Passengers with counter-issued tickets are advised to visit a railway station counter within three days of the scheduled departure to claim refunds.

Additionally, construction and redevelopment work at Faridabad Railway Station is causing significant changes to local and EMU services. From September 1 to October 15, several trains, including the Palwal-Ghaziabad and New Delhi-Palwal EMU routes, are scheduled for cancellation. During this period, platform assignments for approximately 43 trains will change, and certain express trains, such as the Malwa Express and Grand Trunk Express, will temporarily stop at Faridabad Station to accommodate the ongoing work.
