Railway Sports Promotion Board dominates Tamil Nadu Police 12-1 in hockey championship
In the 6th Hockey India Senior Men's Inter-Department National Championship 2026 held in Hyderabad, the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) secured a dominant 12-1 victory over Tamil Nadu Police (TNP) in a Pool D match. Amandeep Lakra and Simranjot Singh both scored hat-tricks, while Shreyas Dhupe contributed two goals.
Other notable results from the tournament include the Sports Authority of India (SAI) defeating the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 5-0 in Pool B, following their previous 20-1 win. The Central Secretariat (CS) earned its second consecutive win by beating the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) 5-1 in Pool A.
In Pool C, the All India Police Sports Control Board defeated the Steel Plant Sports Board 4-0, highlighted by an Arun Sahni hat-trick. The Food Corporation of India (FCI) also won 4-0 against the Steel Plant Sports Board in Pool D. Additionally, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) won a high-scoring match against Punjab and Sind Bank with a 5-4 scoreline, while the Petroleum Sports Promotion Board played to a 4-4 draw against Punjab National Bank.
