Croatia transitions to winter time amid changing weather
Croatia will transition from summer to winter time on the night of October 25, moving clocks back one hour from 3:00 to 2:00. This change affects electricity billing periods, with higher tariffs now applying from 7:00 to 21:00. While the European Parliament previously supported ending seasonal time changes, the practice continues in the EU as no final decision has been reached by the Council.
Simultaneously, the region is experiencing significant weather shifts. A cold front is bringing rain, thunderstorms, and wind across various parts of Croatia. A yellow weather warning has been issued for the Zadar area due to strong bura winds with gusts between 65 and 85 km/h. Temperatures are expected to drop, with Sunday bringing cooler mornings and more variable conditions.
