Rain and thunderstorms forecast for Brazil's North Region on Sunday
The National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) issued a weather outlook for Sunday, June 5, indicating continued instability across Brazil's North Region. Isolated rain showers and occasional thunderstorms are expected in Roraima, Amapá, Pará, Amazonas and surrounding areas, with cities such as Belém, Macapá, Manaus and Boa Vista all under the watch of heavy cloud cover.
Temperatures will stay high across the region, ranging from 21 °C to 37 °C in state capitals, while relative humidity remains elevated, in some locations reaching up to 98 %. In contrast, the southern part of the country will experience predominantly clear skies and stable conditions.
The forecast highlights the need for residents and travelers to stay hydrated and monitor local updates, especially in areas where humidity may dip to as low as 20 % in places like Palmas and Porto Velho.
