Rain postpones Estrellas and Águilas baseball game in Santiago

Heavy rainfall in Santiago has forced the postponement of the baseball game between Estrellas Orientales and Águilas Cibaeñas at Estadio Cibao for a second time. The match, part of the 2026-2027 winter championship, was suspended by the officiating crew after they determined the field conditions were unsuitable for play.

The game remains tied at 0-0. This follows a previous postponement on Wednesday, October 21, when rain interrupted the second inning. LIDOM is expected to announce a new date to complete the matchup.
