RaiPlay releases complete Italian period drama ‘Orgoglio’

The Italian streaming platform RaiPlay has made the popular period drama series ‘Orgoglio’ available in its entirety. Originally aired on Rai 1 between 2004 and 2006, the three-season series is set in the Roman countryside during the early 20th century.

The story follows the forbidden romance between Anna Obrofari, played by Elena Sofia Ricci, and Pietro Pironi, played by Daniele Pecci. The narrative explores the tension between social class and personal desire, as Anna belongs to a declining aristocratic family struggling to maintain appearances through strategic alliances and arranged marriages, while Pietro comes from a more humble background.
