Raisa and Yura headline 2026 Pagelaran Sabang Merauke cultural showcase

The Pagelaran Sabang Merauke cultural event, titled "Hikayat Srikandi Nusantara," will be staged from 21‑23 August 2026 at Indonesia Arena in Jakarta. Around 1,700 artists are involved, including 15 singers, 387 dancers, 50 traditional instruments, a choir and an orchestra.

Singer Yura Yunita returns for her third appearance, portraying the Mahadewi character and describing the festival as a rare space for artistic exploration. Pop vocalist Raisa Andriana makes her debut in the show, performing the new song "Cahaya Hati" and taking on the role of Srikandi. The song was written by Silvi Liswanda and composed by Eross Candra for iForte and Protelindo.

Presenter Indra Bekti, also part of the production, noted that Raisa surprised him with a humorous, outgoing side, contrary to his expectation of a reserved personality. The event aims to blend pop, orchestral, choral and traditional Indonesian music to convey the story of Srikandi and celebrate Indonesia’s cultural diversity.
