Raivis Kronbergs earned nearly 79,000 euros before leaving State Chancellery

Former State Chancellery Director Raivis Kronbergs earned 78,982 euros in salary from May 18 of this year, according to his submitted official declaration. The declaration lists the entire amount as salary, leaving the specific value of compensation for unused annual leave unconfirmed, though the State Chancellery previously acknowledged such payments would be made.

In his declaration, Kronbergs also reported liabilities totaling 30,183 euros, ownership of a 2022 BMW iX xDrive 40, and real estate in the Olaine region. For comparison, his 2025 declaration shows a salary of 97,066 euros as the head of the State Chancellery.

Kronbergs' departure follows his detention in early May in connection with a timber-related case. While he was initially suspended from his position, an agreement was subsequently reached for him to resign from the post.
