Raj Cave in Poland maintains constant temperature and dense formations

Raj Cave, located near Chęcin in Poland, maintains a constant temperature of just under 10 degrees Celsius year-round, allowing for visits regardless of external weather conditions. The cave is renowned for its exceptionally dense dripstone formations, with some areas featuring up to 200 stalactites per square meter.

As part of the UNESCO-listed Świętokrzyskie Geopark, the cave serves as a strict nature reserve and a habitat for bats and spiders. To protect its delicate microclimate and fragile formations, which can take decades to grow even a few centimeters, authorities have implemented strict regulations. These include daily visitor limits and a total ban on touching the cave's dripstone structures.
