Raj Dhesi discusses WWE representation and wrestling industry challenges

Former WWE Champion Raj Dhesi, known professionally as Jinder Mahal, has addressed the current lack of South Asian representation in professional wrestling and the challenges of the industry.

Speaking on the scarcity of Indian talent in WWE, Dhesi expressed surprise at the low numbers but noted that representation should not be the sole focus. He emphasized that wrestlers must reach a performance level comparable to top stars like Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins. He identified a lack of training infrastructure in India as the primary obstacle preventing local talent from meeting international standards.

Dhesi also discussed the personal toll of the profession, citing constant travel and the intense psychological stress of performing on live television as the most difficult aspects of a wrestling career.
